A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. Proverbs 4:9
How many hours did God spend on creating over 391,000 species of plants and over 3 TRILLION trees (which is over 60,000 species of trees) on day 3?
24 hours, right.
How many hours did God spend on creating over 6.5 million species of land animals on day 6? Or the 2.2 million plus species of water creatures on day 5?
Again the answer is 24 hours.
What about on day 4 when God created the illuminating light for our world (the sun, the moon, the stars, etc) for our galaxy? Keep in mind the universe holds over 100,000 billion GALAXIES! We live on 1 planet in 1 galaxy.
Only 24 hours to get all of that done is insane. God is just incredible!
So why did God spend the same 24 hours- on the 1st day to just command “let there be light”, separating the day from the night and establishing our 24 hour day. We know this wasn’t illuminating light, because that didn’t come until day 4! Was it just me, or does that seem kind of an easy 24 hours? Like, God why would you take it so “easy” on the 1st day in comparison to everything you would do on the days following?
My question is what took God so long on the 1st day? Do you think He was just starting in at a slow, steady pace, easing into creation? Just building up his endurance to create everything else? Maybe finalizing some last minute details He needed for the following days?
NO! God spent 24 hours on this first day because THIS FIRST VITAL STEP is the foundation for all of His creation and it is overlooked by christians like myself all across this world that He created for us!!
About 3 years ago, I told God I want to understand what you mean by “light be” on day 1 because there was NO ILLUMINATING light from the sun to mark day or from the moon and stars to mark night, but yet you established the day and the night and you said that “the light was good”.
Around that same time, I told God I have to know what you mean by the word “glory”? I hear it spoken loosely and used often by many, but I don’t know what this word really means. My personality is someone who has to understand something to be able to explain it. I can’t just say something because everyone else does, I can’t explain it to others or even my children if I don’t know about it myself. Which is good, but also annoying at times because it can take me longer to “jump on” compared to others.
Did you know that God loves hungry children who seek answers and wisdom! It can be easy to get frustrated when people ask questions about levels of the truth, the good news of our faith, sometimes, right? We as believers have different levels of revelation established in our hearts. It’s easy to forget that because our spiritual maturity isn’t exactly measurable at first glance like physical and mental maturity.
God loves the audacity of his children and soon to be believers to hunger and thirst for His truth and revelation; to not just accept it, but to actually swallow it and establish it our spirit man (heart). So when He stirred up this question about day 1 and glory, He was building the foundation for great life-changing revelation! Seriously mind blowing, I was already a believer, I already had “tremendous faith”, but again like I have talked about in other blogs like OVERFLOW (go read it!!), we all have the same vast measure of faith inside of us waiting to be tapped into but we have to allow God to grow it! There is still so much faith for me to tap into! So let’s dive into this day 1 revelation.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God [power of God] was hovering over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2
Why was the earth empty and dark? We know there were dinosaurs- we have found their incredible fossils. We know through God’s written word that He banished satan and his followers from Heaven. That moment had to be one powerfully insane, swift explosive manifestation, right. When that happened, the earth became empty and void. The enemy and his followers were powerless and evil, with no light in them to create anything. BUT GOD had His spirit READY AND WAITING for the moment that God would speak over the earth so that He, the Holy Spirit of God, could manifest (BRING TO LIFE) God’s very word on earth!
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night”. Genesis 1:3-5
On that 1st day of creation, God spent 24 hours, THE ENTIRE DAY, transferring HIS LIGHT to earth. Why? Why did he need to separate the light from the darkness? We know He said, “the light was good”. We know He called the light “day” and the darkness “night”, but there was no sun, moon, of stars yet to distinguish what we know as day and night.
Do your remember how when Moses would come down from Mount Sinai radiating with so much “light” that he had to wear a veil around the others until that light diminished. We have that same light because of Jesus!
This light was His glory, the essence of who God is! The very SUBSTANCE of God: His presence, His power, and His goodness on a piece of the earth! A transfer of God’s glory is EXACTLY what we see on the first day of preparing creation.
What is a light force? An explosive transferring
God’s first step in creation was to spend an entire day, 24 hours, transferring a piece of Heaven onto a piece of earth! This light, that we will now call Glory, is the envelope, the container, that is designed to surround and reflect from His children forever.
Imagine a big dome bubble of His Glory on a section of this dark, void earth where all things good are prospering for the creation He loves the most, humans. He created us in His own image, right. Most Christians do not understand the depth of this very FIRST step of creation. How many of us know that the first step in everything is the MOST IMPORTANT step because nothing else will work without it! Socks blown off… Atleast mine were and I know yours will be too! Don’t read through this without letting this revelation sink in deep!
So after God spoke “let there be light”, transferring His Glory FIRST into the earth, He then spent the next few days creating everything else that man would need to live life abundantly in His glory (that Jesus would redeem to us spoken of in John 10:10). Once everything was ready, He then created man in his own image. The Glory was put inside of Adam and Eve.
So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over it…” Genesis 1:27-28
Can you imagine that moment for satan and the 1/3 of God’s angels who followed satan? It probably infuriated them! God not only kicked them out of heaven, but THEN He had the audacity to bring a piece of Heaven to earth so that all of God’s creation could flourish right in front of them. Then they had to watch as God created humans in His own image and give them His authority and blessing, the power to create, having His glory which is what they wanted all along.
They despise light and anything good because it reminds them of what they used to be around. Our enemy hates us because we remind him of God. Why? Because even if we haven’t realized it yet, we carry the same light (THE GLORY) of God inside of us. We are created by God to be vessels for His power so that we can be fruitful and multiply, cultivating the earth in God’s light, establishing God’s kingdom on earth.
They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God…For God, who said “Let there be light in the darkness”. has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 4:4, 6-7
Adam and Eve (and now us who have been redeemed by Jesus) walked around with Glory inside of them and that glory surrounding them in this sectioned off piece of the earth, called the garden of Eden.
God blessed them and gave them instruction on what to do with all that has been so freely given to them simply because He loves them. When He said to “be fruitful and multiply”, He was saying to them that they will increase in number as well as their every work bearing fruit, blessed and productive. When He said to “fill the earth and reign over it”, His plan was for this section of His Glory, the garden of Eden, to be cultivated throughout the earth. His kingdom increasing and filling up the entire earth as time went on, separating and pushing out the darkness just as He did on Day 1. God gave Adam and Eve a responsibility, a mission together.
The kingdom of Heaven lives inside of us and God wants His kingdom to occupy the atmosphere on earth. His will is to build His kingdom of Heaven on earth simply because He loves us and He created the world for us!
God’s word is powerful because it carries the substance of His glory in every word!
As I have mentioned before, God’s word has His OWN faith contained in it! When you speak God’s word, His faith with the grace He has given to you manifests, TRANSFERS, His power into and through that very word spoken on earth by the power of His Holy Spirit just like on Day 1!
Everything we could ever need for a godly (blessed and glory full) life has already been transferred into us by His divine power. For all of this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing Him who has called us by name and invited us to into His own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3
Jesus preached, For the Kingdom of Heaven is near!
“But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God HAS ARRIVED among you. For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man like satan and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger– someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house. Anyone who isn’t with me, opposes me and anyone who isn’t working with me, is actually working against me….A tree is identified by it’s fruit. If a tree is good, it’s fruit will be good… For whatever is in your heart determines what you say….The words you say will either justify you (give life) or condemn you (bring death).” Matthew 12: 28-37
Remember in Isaiah 35, “Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and blossom with spring crocuses. Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display His glory with the splendor of our God...Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return and enter singing and crowned with everlasting joy.
There will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good. Romans 2:10-11
So whatever your circumstance looks like, we know that God desires His glory to be evident in your circumstance. So we don’t focus on the lack or speak the problem, or what we see in the moment, but instead we speak the promise, the truth, and the glory that is transforming the facts of your circumstance.
Without weakening in faith, Abraham faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, BUT BEING FULLY PERSUADED (confident) that God had power and would do what He had said…. Romans 4:19
Keep His vision for you in front of you so that you can walk into that provision He has made for you through His glory! Where can you begin finding His vision for you? His word. Start there and start developing a relationship with Him so that you can ask Him questions that will grow your roots deeper so that you can bear the fruit of glory in every season!
