Invading the Enemy’s Camp

A Garland of Grace and A Crown of Beauty. Proverbs 4:9

A couple of months ago, I shared a blog titled “Rise Up” and it came from a sentence God highlighted to me in prayer. “Let’s COMMAND confusion in the enemy’s camp!”

The Lord showed me the story of David defeating Goliath and how David rose up from the inside out because he knew whose servant He was! He knew they were more than just Saul’s servants as Goliath had identified them.

The people forgot who they were and whose they were. Saul was the king and technically they were Saul’s servants, but Saul got his authority from God. They, along with Saul, were God’s servants. But they saw Saul daily because, well, he was their king in the natural realm. This can happen to us so easily. If we focus on what we see daily from our mayors, our governors, our president, etc through the news, we form what “camp” we are in.

We can think we are in the enemy’s camp from where we stand because we see all the threats, injustice, and fear instead of where our actual spiritual feet are-in God’s kingdom. I can stand on my land and look so far out because I live on a hill that I can see things that are not the same as where I am standing.

That’s the same with us as believers, we stand far above and we can see far in front of us, but these weapons cannot destroy us. The enemy has no authority to step foot on our ground, but we can “take ourselves” to his operating ground. We know that God stands over us and surrounds us. God placed us in Christ’s body, He seated us right beside Him.

If I watch a scary battle scene in a 3D movie with physical sensory stimulations like the ride “Soarin” at WDW, I don’t have to be afraid that I’m going to be hurt, right? If we are spiritually seated in Christ, in God’s kingdom, as our physical feet walk upon this physical earth, we are going to see and feel things that frighten us. God says over and over and over again and will lovingly continue to because He knows we need the encouragement to “take heart” and to “not fear” because if “God is for us, than who can remain standing against us!”.

Elisha saw the enemy camp all around him, but he didn’t fear because he knew God would send confusion and defeat into the enemy’s camp. Elisha knew in his heart the truth that there were far more defending him and his servant than there were soldiers in the enemy’s camp. Christ sees the enemy’s camps, but Christ KNOWS where He stands/ sits. Even David knew the philistine’s enemy camp had no place being there, tormenting God’s kingdom and that was before Jesus came. So do we know what camp we are in?

When God defeated Goliath through David, confusion broke out in the enemy’s camp because out of what seemingly was out of nowhere defeat became their reality! This was and is my prayer still! (Confusion in the enemy’s camp) …. But last night the Lord laid it on my heart to go even further in prayer! It’s time to go further, it’s time to pray for an invasion in the enemy’s camps!

We can ADVANCE and TAKE GROUND, not just holding steady our victorious ground telling others to come to us, but reaching others and taking them OUT OF THE enemy’s camps. God told Adam and Eve to flourish and multiply, to occupy more and more land beyond what they had been given. Why? Why should we pray for invasions in the enemy’s camps? Because not only are there soon-to-be believers over there, but there are many believers stuck, blinded like a deer in headlights, and being puppeted into the enemy’s camps because they have become confused and fooled on which way to go.

What do I mean by that? Every single day, i hear and see where christians are using their platforms at work, in groups, on social media to voice their “incredible” and “justifiable” opinions on what they think and see. It could be easy for me to get frustrated and critical over why are they doing this?! They say they love Jesus and that they are christians, but their lives demonstrate something else entirely, BUT…. I would be falling into that very same trap that they fell into. Exalting my opinion and my frustration over what God says and what faith says.

My love for them has to continue to be greater than my opinion on the matter. My heart breaks because brother is turning against sister, father against daughter, friend against friend, a nation against itself- a civil war. There is this giant of “if you don’t stand with me in my opinion, than you are against me and you are wrong.” A battle for who is right. A battle for conformity. A war of opinion verse heart.

We have been given such a gift in the United States of America, under God, just like Adam and Eve had been given in the garden of Eden: freedom. God created them and loved them and gave them everything they needed, but He didn’t take away the choice to choose to honor, love, and trust Him by avoiding the one tree of death. God didn’t set that tree there to taunt them, it was there to show them right from wrong because otherwise what choice do they really have? Love is what offers freedom and choice. Unconditional love is OVER your freedom of speech and over your freedom to choose. When we try to exalt our freedom and justification over our love, can we really offer love?

Our Pastor displayed this concept beautifully recently. He said if someone is thirsty, how can I offer them water if my hand is not under the water itself. Try it. To be able to hand someone the water that I want to give them, I have to place my hand under what I want to give.

So if I want to change the world and make it better, can I do that if I exalt myself above everything? Can i offer wisdom if my hand isn’t under it? Can I offer peace if my hand isn’t under it? Can I offer love, hope, joy, restoration, etc if my hand isn’t under it? No, i have to humble myself and my own opinion and even my doubt to come under what God says to be able to give that to others. His word alone is what changes the world.

We do not conform to this world (where satan’s ways are the culture), we are to let God transform our ways to the culture of God by the continual renewal of our minds (humbling our opinions) SO THAT we can know God’s good will for us. Romans 12:2

We can’t honor God or offer any restoration without humbling ourselves. We use our freedom to say and do what God says, not what others say. This goes for everything going on in the world today: racism, disease, etc because ultimately all of it is a threat to our humanity and the culture God prepared a way for us to have.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Proverbs 14:12

There’s always going to be a way that looks right to the world and to your flesh/senses, but it’s a dead end. “Rise up”, as I have said before! Don’t be puppeted and fooled by the enemy and following false lights. If someone says “I’m for peace and justice”, but all his words to others is hatred, abusive, and degrading…that’s a false light. Just because it says something, doesn’t mean it really is that something.

I see it like this: many people have wandered down the wrong path. How? They came to the crossroads, but the enemy turned the arrow that pointed to the “wisdom” lane around to where it pointed to the “false wisdom” lane. It say’s it’s right, it looks right, it feels right, but it’s not right.

The enemy knows we have a purpose united together. I see people passionate to fight for something that they can feel like they are making a difference in the world, that they are standing for something better, trying to make the wrongs right.

The passion for that is not the problem, in fact that vision and that internal desire is from God. We were created for a purpose that included fighting for something. That something is the culture of Heaven on earth full of unity, unconditional love, peace, forgiveness, honor, and yes-justice. We have forgotten our place, whose we are, who we are servants to, and ultimately what camp we are in. While I was in prayer and saw this invasion, I saw people rising up and out of the enemy’s camps! The enemies hands are tied in confusion and can’t stop this great awakening.

Sharing our opinions have become our source of pride. Pride takes us into the enemy’s camp. Instead of magnifying what God is doing and what God is saying, we end up magnifying what the enemy is doing and saying. That pride and the power of using our voice to speak our opinions is really a much less use of power and the short end of the stick in comparison. The enemy’s power is actually INCOMPARABLE to the power of God. Satan is no match, not even a contender against our God and the power that God made available to us through using our voice speaking His word in our situations on the earth. God gave us power in our words and the enemy knows that; which is why the enemy tries to persuade the words that we speak.

I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions among you in the church. Rather, be of 1 mind, UNITED in THOUGHT and PURPOSE…. 1 Corinthians 1:10

We aren’t all in the body of Christ because we are united in everything we like and dislike, in our past or our present. We are called to stand guard to be united for our future, to transform our thoughts by God’s word, and to walk in our God assigned purpose. Too often, the gifts God gives us become spoiled with ourselves. We think our way and our “wisdom” is superior than others because it’s justifiable, makes sense, and sounds good.

1 Corinthians 1:18-31: [But] the message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! We, who are being saved, know it is the very power of God. As the scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, the world’s brilliant debaters?

God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in His wisdom saw to it that the world would never know Him through human wisdom, He has used our “foolish” preaching to save those who believe.

It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from Heaven. And it is foolish to the greeks, who seek human wisdom. So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are OFFENDED and the gentiles say it’s all NONSENSE.

But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the POWER of God and the WISDOM of God. This “foolish” plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy WHEN GOD CALLED YOU. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and USED THEM to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit, God made HIM to be WISDOM itself. Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”

Is this not powerful and timely wisdom! Let’s take a step back and look at where we are. Are you in the enemy’s camp? If so, let’s go. You are called to rise up out of there. God came to rescue you from that place! Or are you in the right camp, but your focus is on the enemy’s camp, gripped with doubt and fear, saying what the enemy wants you to believe about your future? If so, wipe your eyes, be reminded of who you are and whose you are! Say what God says EVEN IF the world says it’s dumb and foolish, unlikely and impossible. Laugh and say “with my God all things are possible! I have what He says I have! I am who He says I am!” and stand up straighter with God’s confidence in you. Let’s go invade the enemy’s camps!!!!
