A Powerful Punch

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty- Proverbs 4:9

I consider myself someone who eats a fairly nutritional diet, with not TOO MANY “bad foods”. As with anyone my metabolism has slowed down, so I don’t eat as much as I used to; therefore, I don’t get all of the vitamins and nutrients I should. For the most part, my body does best on intermittent fasting. What that means is, is that I generally only eat between the hours of 11am and 7pm. My meals are full of protein, vegetables, and fruit with minimal dairy or grains. That doesn’t mean I don’t consume dairy or grains- it’s just minimal….and have I mentioned my weakness is sweets?…Yep, often times I have to try to resist the goodness of sweets. (Sugar consumption depresses the immune system.)

Sugary drinks are not a battle for me because I don’t drink coffee or soda or even tea much. Water is my main choice, I just need to drink more often. I’m one of those that tends to walk around dehydrated.. Terrible, I know! Bedtime rolls around and I’m thinking oh man, I have got to drink a whole other bottle of water before my head hits the pillow! Which is crazy, because then I have to wake up in the middle of the night.. haha

So all that to say, most of us are nutritionally deficient for many reasons 1- our culture’s meal choices, 2- the decrease in food quality, 3- costs, 4- age/ stress/ etc are all factors that effect our body’s homeostasis which prevents our bodies from the maximum uptake of the good in the foods we eat. A lot of us don’t even realize how deficient we feel because it has just become our normal feeling.

First and foremost, with everything in life our frontline protection and defense is found in the word of God! Everything we do should be in line with the wisdom and the instructions God has given us. Apart from God, human effort accomplishes nothing, right. Right! God’s word contains the very essence of spirit and life. (John 6:63)

For me personally, I believe the chemistry of what essential oils were created to be are incredibly powerful tools that God created for us. Over thousands of years, the wisdom to use and compound these oils for medicinal purposes have been researched and utilized. We as believers are given the sound mind of Christ and that has been given for every area of our life.

A sound mind is given for the blessing over your spirit, soul, and body. Making decisions for your family, your job, your home, your health, your finances, should all be done with knowledge and the guidance from God. When I share about oils, it’s not about selling you these products. I have spent hours and hours and hours already researching Young Living essential oils and the science behind it and I haven’t even scratched the surface.

I think a lot of people, myself included at first, are hesitant about the efficacy of them. Is this just another company after my money, etc, but the more I looked into the company itself, the standards, the vision, the thousands upon thousands of testimonies, and the true grit hard work that was and is still put into this company I gave it a try.

I’m not at all saying that Young Living is the only brand in all the earth that God has blessed, that is absurd and ridiculous. What I am saying however is, personally I have seen and read ENDLESS testimonies, trustworthy studies, and evidence where Young Living was AND IS founded on the highest standards that a majority of the world’s companies do not uphold.

There are other wonderful companies across multiple areas of life that are founded on similar standards that I believe have held true to time because of the foundation from which they were created. However, as far as essential oils go, I have YET to find a single one that even comes close to comparison. Have you noticed that there is ad after ad promoting itself and degrading Young Living? To me that’s always a red flag against the company that is promoting such ad that is targeting another company (who doesn’t talk bad about other companies).

I’ve read about the founder of Young Living, Gary Young, and the “ahead of his time” wisdom he was given to pursue how to incorporate plants into medicinal purposes the right way with the best chemists and the best standards to get into the hands of ordinary people like us. That’s his heart and that’s still the heart of this on going 25 year plus industry! Alot of time went in to this company and the plants- the land, the harvesters, the distillation process, etc!

My highlight today is this whole body supplement Ningxia Red that breaks down cost wise to less than $3 a day. My girls call it my vitamin juice. I drink it cold in the mornings and it is delicious! 1 shot of this “vitamin juice” is packed full of wolfberries and other powerful ingredients that supply the body with vital phytonutrients that supports:
All 9 systems of the body including the immune system,
Increased energy and strength,
Protects DNA and cellular functioning,
Blood glucose stabilizing,
Blood pressure and cholesterol maintaining,
Memory and cognitive thinking,
Combatting premature aging,
Digestion

Phytonutrients are plant produced chemicals that plants use to stay healthy; these have been proven to help keep our bodies healthy too.

Ningxia Red ingredients include a whole fruit puree of the super fruit wolfberry and juices from other superfruits such as aronia, plum, blueberry, cherry, and pomegranate. As well as other antioxidant ingredients like pure vanilla extract, lemon, orange, yuzu, and tangerine. All without caffeine, sugar, or other artificial stimulants.

Wolfberries aka goji berries have been known as the vitamin capsule in fruit form.
This super fruit’s mineral profile and mineral balance is without equal in the plant kingdom. It is the most nutrient dense whole food source on earth. These berries are sourced from the Himalayan mountains, which are known to be one of the richest sources of minerals and organic nutrients found on earth.

-Wolfberries have been found to have the highest known whole food source of potassium. Potassium is one of the most important minerals to human health!

-Wolfberries contain 3x the vitamin C oranges do!

-Wolfberries contain all19 of the essential amino acids, 100% DV IRON, and has one of the highest percentages of fiber! 21% fiber by weight, which is more than oat bran (which is great for me because my body doesn’t handle today’s cultured oat bran well)

-Wolfberries have one of the highest known ORAC scores, ORAC= Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. In other words: a test that determines a drink’s ability to neutralize dangerous superoxide free radicals, it scores a food’s antioxidant’s strength.
Superoxides are directly related to common diseases like cancer, asthma, heart disease, and more.

Testimonies:
1-Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, entire right side of her body was going numb. Her body began fighting itself which is an auto-immune disease. She started taking 2 oz Ningxia Red, omegagise (vitamin D), sulfurzyme, multigreens, and mindwise. She no longer has the tingling in her hands.

2- Type 1 diabetic who was pregnant took Ningxia Red and she saw it stabilize her blood sugar and gave her the blood sugar she needed. After taking it for a while, she quit for 1 week to see if it made a difference, and she could tell a huge difference in her diabetes, morning sickness, energy level, and immune system. She experienced the best pregnancy while taking this supplement.

3- 4th time going through chemo, she started using Young Living products and shared how Ningxia Red, ginger and the Thieves line have helped her come through the chemo period better than any of the other times. She said there is no comparison to the suffering she went through in the past chemo treatments and the relief she experienced through these products.

4-Diagnosed with a blood sugar level of 585…585!! He immediately started using Ningxia Red, cinnamon bark, and endoflex daily and his blood sugar got under control maintaining at 120

Testimonies are where you know that these products are genuine. No one was paid to say them or act them out online or on tv. Real people who needed help and found help in these tools, like Ningxia Red. If you are struggling with anything and need agreement for total health in your body, I would love to pray with you! I believe this is why these products are on my heart to share, because not only are they great tools for whole health, but they connect us to groups of people who need the answer for total health: God! Healing, wisdom, and answers are found in HIM. If you have peace pursuing whole body health with Young Living and you want to find out more about getting started on Ningxia Red, let me know and I am so incredibly happy to help you!

Whose Authority?

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. – Proverbs 4:9

How many of us think that God has all the power in this world and we as mankind have very little power? Whatever will be, will be. Que Sera, Sera. Many of us have believed the lie that we are powerless, that everything that happens is just part of God’s plans. I know many of us accidentally overlook the awesome revelation of our authority in Christ that God himself gave to us to change the world.

Why did Jesus refer to himself as “the son of man” to everyone around him? Why did the disciples refer to Jesus as “the son of man” over 80 times in the bible and not “the son of God”. Son of God seems like it would be way more powerful, right? Especially back then. But…. No, Jesus was laying down the critical foundation for his people to build their lives on. Son of Man is more powerful because Jesus was the very word of God born of flesh and blood. The almighty God humbled part of himself as man to endure even more struggles than we as humans do through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He became man so that He could take back the authority that could ONLY be taken back BY MAN. Why? Because the authority and kingship over the earth was given away BY MAN, Adam! The disciples of Christ knew this truth, that’s why they cited Jesus as the “son of man” just as Jesus said He was. Do we, the current disciples, know this truth too?

The bible shows us that satan referred to Jesus as the “Son of God”, not out of respect or awe, but to make us (believers) feel “less powerful”, to keep man’s authority in Christ a secret from us, mankind. Satan didn’t want to admit that his authority would be taken back by a man. Jesus had to be born as man on earth, the kingdom where satan rules over, since the authority was given to satan through Adam and Eve’s sin. Jesus had to resist sin by the power of The Word of God (pretty cool, right, because Jesus was and is the word of God that became man! Jesus spoke “IT IS WRITTEN” and even sweated to the point of blood in resisting being taken off course. Jesus became the righteous one to intervene on earth for God’s people to win back this authority through the sacrifice of himself on the cross and his resurrection in victory. Jesus kept pressing on toward his target destination on earth: to take our place IN THE CURSE by offering himself as man’s sacrifice on the cross as the second Adam. Jesus knew his ultimate destination in Heaven was becoming the victorious, justice ruling representative of God’s people on earth.

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, to very end of the age.” –Matthew 28:18-20

Satan knows if he can keep our authority a secret from us, then we wont rise up with power we HAVE in this world. Everything God created is actually under our feet, all of the authority was meant for us, mankind. So rise up like the BLESSED SONS AND DAUGHTERS we are and refuse to accept the circumstances that this world throws at us (fear, depression, sickness, lack, addiction, etc).

In one of Paul’s letters to Ephesus, “God’s holy people who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus (that’s us, right?),

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us WHO BELIEVE HIM. This is the SAME MIGHTY POWER that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else- not only in this world (earth) but also in the world to come. God has put ALL THINGS UNDER THE AUTHORITY of Christ and has made Christ HEAD over ALL THINGS [for what?…..] FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CHURCH. THE CHURCH IS CHRIST’S BODY. The body of Christ is made FULL and COMPLETE by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself. –Ephesians 1:19-23

What amazing revelation is this!? It sure was for me a few years ago! It was like a light bulb went off and I STOOD UP STRAIGHTER taking my place in Christ. I pray for each of you to receive this revelation and take your place too with joy because IT IS WRITTEN for you to walk in THE BLESSING through the authority God has given you.

I pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. For He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in the light. For He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his dear son (on earth), who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. For God wanted you to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you. Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His GLORY. – Colossians 1:11-14, 27

Today take your place and use the God given power you have been given to push back the darkness, the hurtful assignments against you and those around you. God wants his GLORY to be revealed and experienced throughout this world.

Much love, Sara

Why I switched to Young Living Thieves Cleaner

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. -Proverbs 4:9

Why is this essential in my home? Thieves Cleaner Kills and eliminates 99% bacteria, viruses, and fungi NATURALLY

  • Prevents sickness because its genetic properties actually prevent bacterial, viral, and fungal cells from the ability to thrive.
  • Made up of the Thieves essential oil blend of Clove, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus radiata, and rosemary, as well as naturally derived plant-based ingredients. You can use these safely on all surfaces. It is not only safe to use on toys, around children and pets, on food preparing/eating utensils, and etc, but it is actually beneficial to.
  • Studies have proven the power of Young Living essential oils Thieves blend kills HARMFUL bacteria. Research has shown that essential oils do not kill BENEFICIAL bacteria because probiotic bacteria in the body can harmlessly metabolize them.
  • Therapeutic properties in Young Living oils actually strengthen and promote healing in the body! So not only are you killing the bad stimulants, but you are increasing the healthy stimulants to prevent and heal the body!
  • Use Thieves cleaner in place of all aerosol cleaners and surface cleaners
  • Thieves cleaner is so concentrated that is crazy cost effective! 1 bottle makes TWENTY TWO 16oz bottles!
  • Mainstream cleaning products, like Lysol, have to use harmful chemicals to kill 99% bacteria and viruses. So not only does it kill bacterial and viral cells, but what do you think that does to the human cells long term?
  • The toxic burden in our homes are growing substantially and has been found that the lung damage from air quality in our homes are close to the same damage as 2nd hand smoke.
  • Denatured Ethanol and Carbon Dioxide are 2 very toxic chemicals that are found in the use of Lysol. Granted, they are “considered” safe when used according to their guidelines and when used in low amounts. Who even follows these instructions?
  • Instructions for Lysol cleaners include to wash it off, to avoid inhalation, to avoid contact, and to avoid areas where food is prepared… Think about it, I always used Lysol in heavy amounts. The more the better I thought. Lets fumigate this place! haha I used lysol all over our beds, couches, bathrooms, toys, etc. Did I breathe while I was doing this? yes.. Did I leave the house to let it settle? no… Did I wash it off? no
  • What are the 41.9% of “OTHER” ingredients in Lysol? That’s almost half of the bottle that we have no idea about what chemicals we are constantly inhaling and introducing into our body.
  • There are more than 50,000 chemicals that can be in household products that do not have to be disclosed because of trade secrets.
  • When you use a scented cleaner, there is also the addition of synthetically created fragrances to replicate what a natural smell would be.
  • There are more than 3,000 chemicals hidden under the word fragrance.
  • Essential oils have such a unique molecular structure that bacteria, viruses, and fungi CANNOT penetrate it. That also means these germs cannot grow immune to these oils like we are seeing all across the pharmaceutical market.

Did you know that inhalation of anything is the quickest way to the brain? It takes about 22 seconds to reach your brain. The olfactory receptors (sense of smell) is the only receptors that directly reaches the control center in your brain.

The Limbic system is a set of structures in the brain that regulates our body’s homeostasis: ability to maintain internal stability (stay within healthy range). The Hypothalamus is the structure that is your control center which is responsible for so many VITAL responses in our bodies. The Hypothalamus tells the Pituitary Gland what to do, which is the main communicator throughout your whole body- the endocrine system.

This means when there is a change in your environment (stimulus – an increase in something), your olfactory receptors reports directly to your control center which activates body’s response (effector) to counteract the issue trying bring the body back into the vital balanced range: homeostasis.

I love science!! There is alot more I can say about this, but I know science does not fascinate everyone. I love how God is found in all of science! God created life. He created every cell, every organ, and every biologic function to be good, pleasing, and perfect. He gave us everything we needed to maintain perfect balance in our bodies.

Im beyond thankful for every person called to be in healthcare and the science and engineering of it ( I am one!). I think over time we have missed it though. We have left ofd the natural aspect of it. Pharmaceutical medicine was created to benefit and help, but like anything in this world it has become “infected” with money, dishonesty, synthetic replications, etc that have altered the benefits of what modern medicine is supposed to be. It’s hard to find a product without researching the product, the company, and the way it was sourced. The same goes for essential oils!

Essential oils have been used for thousands of years, they are referenced in the bible, but recently in the last 100 years they are being altered like what happened with modern medicine. Its hard to find a true essential oil. I have researched Young Living: their standards, their farms, their products, their sourcing, even the beginning pursuit of Gary Young, founder, who I believe had a prophetic direction to begin looking into a way for more people to have access to these natural plants.

I love learning about these oils- the why and how they work. Which is why I have began switching over to actual natural products that have to follow a STRICT standard. I’m changing the culture of our home 1 step at a time.

Yes, Young Living is a multi level network marketing organization. Why are people skeptical of this if the products are genuine? Would you rather pay companies who are operating under low standards because that is the “standard” or would you rather pay a company that blesses a hardworking friend for products formulated under high standards?

Because I’m crafty and I love pretty things, I had these beautiful labels made to match the style of my home for my thieves cleaner too!

If you are interested in switching over the standard for your household products, let me know. I have a referral link and an incredible community for you to be a part of and learn more.

Much love, Sara

Getting There

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. -Proverbs 4:9

My whole life I have loved everyone around me. I have discovered that I love people with my whole heart. I honestly thought that was how everyone was. As I have grown up, I have had many people share that they see this gift in me. Honestly, I’m super awkward at receiving anything that sounds like a “compliment”. Envision Chandler from Friends… Yep, that’s me naturally. Haha But, God has been trying to grow me in receiving “these gifts being called out in me”. I don’t know about you, but I’m someone who loves to praise people and call out the gifts inside of them, but when someone does that for me I have a hard time receiving it in the moment. It’s like I have a rush of feelings that includes a mixture of joy, thankfulness, embarrassment, shame for all the good feelings, worry of how to respond without sounding big headed and deserving. So by the end of their compliment. I have pretty much gone blank on what they even said to me. As I walk away I try to recall the words spoken to me. I ask God to help me to receive such empowering words because I know He made sure they were spoken to me through these relationships.

So when I say that I love people big that also means there is a lot of room for heartache too. I have an incredible friend who shared this revelation with me a few years ago, she talked about how the enemy can see gifts inside of us and he will do all he can to stop them from coming to light. We talked about how there have been many, many times in my life where the enemy could have succeeded in destroying me. Almost drowning more than once, extreme heartaches and betrayel from beautiful friends whom I still love to this day- some friendships He even redeemed because He is that good. Its like every age of my life- milestone time periods like preschool, primary school, middle school, high school, college, and of coarse even adult life. The enemy is never going to stop and that for sure stinks, but the victory and the joy lies in THE ONE who will never hurt me, my God. His love is pure, unconditional, overwhelmingly saturating, redeeming, and full of light and strength. He is the “I am” to everything I need Him to be. I see so many beautiful people from very young children all the way up to adults who are hopelessly trying to find someone to love them. They know their feelings because let’s be honest feelings are loud, and a lot of times to the point of barely being able to breathe. Just running through the motions. Silence and stillness are painful and uncomfortable, but you see, in that silence and stillness there is THE OPPORTUNITY to find peace the world can’t give. God already loves you, God already has the gift of peace that the world can’t give you.

I believe this deep calling on my heart for reaching people who are hurting is because 1) that love gift I was talking about earlier, and 2) every time the enemy hurt me deeply, I actually got stronger. I think it is so incredible how every assignment the enemy orchestrates to destroy us CAN blow up in his face. The enemy has to watch our Father’s faithfulness transform every single horrible situation into something more magnificent than it was before. It’s like the enemy pulls us down/ backward, but because he isn’t even in the same “division” as God (he isn’t even close to being a rival to God), God propels us even further forward! Envision an arrow in a bow and arrow set up. What happens when the arrow is drawn back? We are going to get pulled back in this world. The enemy runs rampant here, but what do we know about God’s word? Yes, we live in this world, but we are not of this world. Jesus overcame the world and He has already given us the victory and grace to experience His glory here on earth. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed- we can get back up!

https://giphy.com/gifs/hfehMDYDaORqM/html5

So when the arrow is released, it’s propelled with even greater force to it’s target/ destination, right. We all have a destination and I’m not just talking about Heaven. We have a purpose, a target destination for our life here on earth. We can’t go anywhere like the arrow in the bow if we aren’t released. We stay drawn back, not fulfilling our purpose. We see our target ahead, but we can’t get there. No matter how much we want to get there, we can’t get there until someone releases us. Let Jesus release you today. He has seen your pain, and I know He has already shown you part of His will for your future. It’s good, isn’t it! It seems completely unattainable, and it is…… It is WITHOUT Him, without being set free by Him. An arrow held in a bow goes nowhere, but with God it is more than “attainable” IT IS SO! He has already given you all the grace you need. He has positioned you with the vision and the supernatural force to propel forward into His good plans for you! And the arrow not meeting the target doesn’t mean it’s God’s fault. There are multiple “oppositions” that take us down along the way, but that’s not where you stop. You aren’t lost in the ground wanting to be found. (Funny side story, my husband has always been an avid hunter. When we were dating over 12-17 years ago, he would practice shooting his bow and arrow, getting it sited in, etc. Sure, a few of his arrows would be driven with so much force into the ground a short distance before the target. Guess who went out there to find these arrows? Me.. haha but I honestly enjoyed it. I liked the challenge of finding this arrow completely hidden under the dirt.) God doesn’t have to go find you deep under the muck and mire. He knows right where you are and He is ready to retrieve you, dust you off and set your feet on solid ground as His chosen and anointed gift to the world. He is ready to direct you into all your “next steps”. There is not a single person on this earth that has arrived at their target. Not me, not your “rich friends”, not your “spiritual friends”, not even your pastor, but in each of these friendships God has given the grace to help each other to keep going, to keep going toward their target.

I saw this beautiful quote scrolling on facebook the other day, it said “a true friend is not someone we have chosen for ourselves, but rather someone God has placed in our lives for a purpose”. How amazing is that. I look at every friendship I have had in my life and I thank God for them and I even pray for them. That’s a lot of people, a lot of treasured friendships I don’t get to see in this season of life. Like I said, I’m 34. We are talking about friends from gradeschool, middle school, high school, and beyond.. Friends that probably don’t consider me their friend (because like I said, the enemy tried destroying friendships even at an early age), but I still love them, man I truly do! I’m not just “saying that” to sound “holy”, my heart literally swells in thankfulness for the time we shared and the hope I have for where they are in life and their families. I often times pray for God to flow through our connection no matter how far away they are. We were connected on this earth at a designated time for God’s goodness and purpose and that doesn’t’ stop the when I can’t physically pour into them. That’s the thing about prayer, there is no distance in the spiritual realm, on earth or in heaven. So when I send out a prayer for all these friends I had from when I was in 6th grade, 9th grade, 11th grade, etc, I know there is power released to them to see and experience God’s goodness.

Our Pastor shared this revelation a while back and it’s so true. “Don’t let your expectation for someone be greater than your love for them”. We have the grace to love others the way God loves us. He loves us far more than His expectations for us, far more than our own expectations for us. And don’t think that I have this nailed down, that I don’t struggle with any of this. Both offense trying to get in my heart and vice verse, if I have offended someone. I never try to, but I’m human and I need grace as much as you do. When I discover I have offended someone, I have struggled HARD with shame and disappointment in myself. The enemy is quick to “pick up the bat and beat me down” with past hurts afflicted to me and from me, but man Thank God, God is right there trying to get me to look at Him and hear the truth He is saying. My Father doesn’t hold back on bringing to my remembrance the good things He has been able to accomplish through me for people. I pray you listen to your Father, He loves you and He knows you much more than you think you know yourself. Let those around you whether it be an acquaintance or a developed friendship pour love and truth into you.

With that said, don’t seek them to fill you up either. God often times reminds me, I (sara) am not God. He is God alone. I am a vessel for Him to pour through, but I am not the source of life giving water itself. When others only learn to “draw from you”, they are hindered from learning to draw from God himself, through His word, and through His presence in His Holy Spirit. Ultimately you both will run dry. There is this fine balance that I’m even still learning when to lean on the friendships I’ve been given and when to lean on God himself. Through my life’s experiences, I’ve naturally developed this “independent” personality that can actually be hindering. It became my safe way to not get hurt anymore. To love on people with my whole heart, but not always allow them to love on me. Because it hurts when those you love the most “are used to hurt you”. In a moment when their guards were down, they allowed themselves to be used by the enemy trough their flesh. That doesn’t mean to go around throwing your heart around, guard it for sure. God says to guard your heart throughout His word, but always love people more than your expectation of them. If God has shown you these people are meant to be in your life, then learn to love them unconditionally. Love them the way God loves you, I’m not going to go into what that looks like because I have already written a small novel here, haha, but love them through that “soul” hurt. God’s love draws you in to repentance, so God’s love in you will lead them into repentance too.

Let God be your everything because He is everything you need.

Much love, Sara

Miracles in the Making

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. – Proverbs 4:9

I shared how God met me with exactly what I needed last week at church. There was so much opposition to keep me from going to the very place where my answer and my breakthrough was already waiting! Even more of the fulfillment of His word was delivered this past Sunday night when we had the honor of Pastor Joseph Morris bring us an on-time word for FOUR services. It always blows my socks off when I take a moment to think about how God makes the way for His provision in my life! The same goes for you! Even in the waiting, we can know and trust that His will/ miracles are already on the way. We just have to choose by faith to believe what He says. The waiting can be LONG sometimes, I’ve been there MANY times. The waiting isn’t just “whatever will be, will be”, but an active following of His word; not striving, but choosing to receive His promise even when you don’t see it or feel it. For God is faithful!

God knows the sneak attacks the enemy is trying to bring into your life. For me, God has always given me warning signals, wisdom for advancing, victory preparation, visions of victory, and prayer. There is no one more faithful than God, He is the definition of faithful. How can we say that we have faith in The One who is faithful if He wasn’t actually faithful. I believe all christians truly do believe that Jesus is faithful, why else would would we come to Him in prayer over our life?

For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that His love will amaze you. He’s so kind that His kindness will astound you! He is famous for His faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for He keeps His promises to every generation. Psalm 100:5

I think what can happen is that we take the hope/ the pressure off of God so that if it doesn’t work out than we can just say “well I guess it was God’s will.” We put everything on God, but yet we take little to no part in the process of seeing our prayers come to pass. We think peace and resting is just going about our lives the “culture way” we always have, not truly seeking God asking, “what do you say about this?” and asking Him, “How?”

If I were to ask everyone reading this “are you a christian”? What would you say?… If you would say “yes”, What would you respond with when I ask “Why? What makes you a christian?”

Did some of you say “because I believe in Jesus. I believe that He died for me on the cross, He was risen back to life, and He now sits in Heaven at the right hand of the Father in glory.”

True! Can we dig a little deeper? When you say you believe in Jesus, what exactly does that mean to you? Please, keep going with me. I want your heart to open up and not be in “auto pilot” here. So what does it mean to believe in Jesus?

You know that the enemy believes in Jesus too. Satan not only believes all of this about Jesus too, but he knows Jesus first hand. He was and is humiliated every single day by the truth and victory of Jesus. So what separates a christian’s belief in Jesus from the enemy’s belief in Jesus?

The enemy KNOWS that every word Jesus spoke and continues to speak is final authority. The enemy can’t take down Jesus- he already lost, so he wants to get us, the adopted children of God, to not believe God at His word. The enemy knows that Jesus is actually THE VERY WORD of God that which became HUMAN. So if all throughout God’s word we find that God is faithful, that He is the righteous judge who rules in our favor, that He is the covenant keeping God, who gave His own life through Jesus and promised us through His own blood THE BLESSING, then what do we believe? Do you believe that Jesus took on your sins at the cross so that you can go to Heaven? Everyone would say “yes” that is our salvation in Christ. Good! But is that where it stops?

Today’s christian culture defines salvation as “deliverance from sin and it’s consequence of going to hell.” Salvation is far beyond what many of us think salvation is. A lot of us christians live day in and day out at this level of salvation: “I got saved, I’m going to love on people, I’m going to do good things (that I feel comfortable with doing), and I’mg going to Heaven.” And that’s great- truly! But can you take moment and ask God, “Is there more to what you sent Jesus for then just that?”

We love to watch the Son of God DVD 1-2x year. Something about setting our focus on and getting a glimpse of what Jesus endured for us those last 2 days of His life. Imagining Him sweating blood for us in the garden knowing He could just bow out and say he didn’t want to (because too often, that’s what we do). His flesh screamed “don’t do it”, God is God He can just make another way for this to come about. It’s His will to see His people free, so it can be done another way than this. Imagining Him willingly give every ounce of His UNCONDITIONAL love to everyone, including those who would betray Him. Imagining the pain He endured being whipped with a metal tipped whip, being beaten, and having a crown of thorns embedded in His skin. Imagining Him carry that heavy cross all the way up to the mountain where He would be hung from nails driven into His hands and feet. Imagining every moment as He hung there on the cross physically taking on EVERY SINGLE DISEASE, one by one, to the point of not being able to recognize Jesus’ body under all of that affliction. Imagining what Jesus felt like when He knew He was separated spirit, soul, and body from God. Jesus had to be separated because Jesus became sin for us. Jesus asked where God was because it was the first moment He was apart from Him, Jesus said he was thirsty because He no longer had the life giving water flowing through Him. Imagining how through it all, Jesus knew that God was and always will be faithful- for there is joy and victory ahead! With His last breath, Jesus offered His spirit to God saying ,”it is finished.”

Wow! Something about shifting our focus on this and really swallowing the magnitude of everything Jesus did for us, right! So when we say, “I believe in Jesus”, we are saying, “I believe in the word of God”. What is the word of God? The Bible, right- every word in the Bible! Do our responses to everyday situations reveal what we believe? Think about the “culture talk” of this world. “Joe has cancer and it doesn’t look good”, what is your response? “Susan was diagnosed with fibromyalgia”, what is your response? “Sam has been dealing with seizures his whole life”, what is your response? How do we know that this pain and suffering wasn’t the plan of God for my life? “The Old Testament can portray God differently than the New Testament.” “The Old Testament shows where we must suffer and go through pain and heartache because it’s God’s will for us in this season.” So how do we know what to believe exactly? How do I know what is God’s will for my life?

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know Him and you have seen Him!… Have I been with you all this time and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show Him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does His work THROUGH ME….I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with with the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified” -John 14:6-13

“I have made a covenant with David [Jesus through the line of David and YOU THROUGH THE LINE OF JESUS], my chosen servant. I have sworn this oath to him [YOU]: I will establish your descendants as kings forever; they will sit on your throne from now until eternity.”….Lord, righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants. Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation and IN YOUR righteousness. You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong. Yes, our protection comes from the Lord… Lord, you said, ” I have raised up a warrior. I have selected him from the common people to be king. I have anointed him with my holy oil. I will steady him with my hand; with my powerful arm I will make him strong. His enemies will not defeat him, nor will the wicked overpower him. I will beat down his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him. My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him, and by my authority he will grow in power. I will extend his rule….I will love him and be kind to him forever; my covenant with him will never end….I will never stop loving him, nor fail to keep my promise to him. No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said…. – Psalm 89

Sing, O childless woman [old church before Jesus], you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song!….For your creator will be your husband; the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is His name! He is your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth. For the Lord has called you back from your grief …For the mountains may move and the hills disappear but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken“, says the Lord, who has mercy on you….If any nation [the enemy] comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat….No weapon formed against you will prosper, and you will disprove every tongue that accuses you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken.” – Isaiah 54

“Come to me with your ears wide. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David. See how I used him to display my power among the peoples…You also will [do these things and greater] because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious“….[Just as the rain falls from Heaven and saturates the earth, which causes all things to bloom and flourish], it is the same with my word. I send out my word, and it always produces fruit [my word never returns to me void]. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees will clap their hands. Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of His power and love.” – Isaiah 55

Wow! That is just from 4 chapters in the ENTIRE Bible- there is so much more about who God is and what His will for your life looks like! Religious culture can think one way, but the culture God began in Jesus is equipped to respond in another way- the truth to believe.

Don’t copy the CULTURE of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think through the renewing of your mind. THEN YOU WILL learn to know God’s will for you is good, pleasing, and perfect. – Romans 12:2

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them life more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. -John 10:10-11

So when I ask what separates the christian’s belief in Jesus from the enemy’s belief in Jesus. What I am trying to say is the that if we say we are believers, then we have TO KNOW that God’s word is final authority. We have to know Jesus, God’s word, is every bit true no matter what we have seen in the past or feel in the present. Everything Jesus said and did was God’s will. Many people experienced miracles as Jesus walked the earth. John concluded with the fact that Jesus did even more miraculous things that are accounted for in the Bible. He said “if they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.” That’ a lot of miracles and that’s not even including the miracles He has been doing for the last 2000 years. And every miracle has been “brought about” differently. We can come to God with our request, but if we have the manifestation of it tied to a certain way it should come, we often times get upset and even give up. Let us not be foolish in thinking that God only answers prayers a certain way. In my own life, each promise fulfilled was through a different “way”. So for example, I have battled off and on with autoimmune issues with my intestines over the last 8 1/2 years. [ I can’t wait to share with you my complete testimony over this!! ] So last year, was the “final minute” of this battle. I was experiencing the faithfulness of God, I was following His leading on my end. I was speaking and seeing total redemption in the functioning of my body. In August, I had a minor surgery to fix what the enemy had caused physical damage to in in my abdomen- I had severe diastasic recti (which is growing wildly common and talked about among women especially). See, I knew God promised me about 2 years prior to this surgery that He would correct my abdomen from my previous emergency surgery. He was loud and clear and I heard in my heart to prepare and expect Him to fix this. I waited and waited.. Over those 2 years, I even began to think maybe I should help God on this and just go have plastic surgery, but I didn’t have peace with it, so I waited until one night….. I had a tiny non-problematic hernia pop up along my midline. Two nights later, I asked God “what was going on here?.. I know what you have spoken, so why is this happening”.. You know what I heard in response… “I told you I would redeem your tummy.” I thought “hmmm, is that what you are doing here???” So I got ahold of one of my best friends who is a nurse and she confirmed that by having this teeny, tiny hernia I would have corrective abdominal surgery! I was ecstatic because I instantly had peace accompanied with the thought of this surgery! I prayed into it, I sought the Lord for scriptures, I prayed for His will to be done and that I would not get in the way in His way! I could do this because I trust Him and I already knew what His will was for me because He told told me 2 years prior! Every step was blessed and full of favor, God spoke “perfection” over me through multiple people the morning of my surgery- giving me the same scripture.

Surgery went great, it was incredibly painful for sure, but I knew this was the beginning of the end of this demonic assignment in my life. The second night, I was lying there semi-awake listening to worship music (SPIRIT), recalling and speaking life over my body (SOUL), and diffusing my essential oils to help (BODY), and I knew the Lord was highlighting the fact that it had been 8 years exactly from the first moment this demonic assignment began and He told me to make much of the significance of 8. I wrote down the number 8 and shared it with my husband, Lance, the following day. In his quick study for what God was saying about the significance of 8, he found that 8 symbolizes “a new beginning, a new order, a resurrection and a regeneration”! We were even more ecstatic because this was even more confirmation!

Guess what I faced on day 4 after surgery… what seemed like no favor, what seemed like defeat, what seemed like failure, what seemed like faith-less… I developed an extreme allergic reaction all across my tummy. I knew God was faithful, but every day the reaction grew worse and worse. I could feel the Lord drawing me to get in silence with Him for wisdom on it, but I didn’t make it happen. I couldn’t move much without pain, I had no childcare for our 7 year old (so she was with me every day at this point being my sweet nurse), my husband was working. I struggle with asking people for help, so I wept and I allowed Him to carry me through the pain and confusion and I allowed my spirit to rule over my mind and body. I finally asked my husband on his day off to take our oldest out so that I could seek God on this because I know He is faithful, but this didn’t look like his faithfulness and I began to even question myself hearing from Him. You know that we, as his children are called to have the sound mind of Christ. That we are called to have wisdom and understanding on a level the world can’t comprehend. He showed me when the symptoms started and what caused the reaction. I knew the surgery was blessed. I knew the doctor’s hands were anointed. So how did the enemy sneak in? It was the bar of antibacterial dial soap that I was prescribed to use before and after surgery. Had I only used it those 2 times, the allergic reaction would not have been as bad as you will see in the pictures, but I continued to use it because I thought how “harmless this soap could be”. I found that there were numerous consumer reports about how the chemical ingredients must have changed around 2017 because many people were all of sudden experiencing similar issues. My issues were just multiplied because I had open wounds every where and bandages that kept the soap against my skin. ( You see I thought maybe I was allergic to the bandages or the glue, but every time I thought of that, my heart didn’t give me peace on it. Plus, after the bandages were removed, it got worse. But as soon as I quit using the soap, it got better. So here is one example of God being faithful! Did you also know that I prayed that I would have my “new tummy” before we went to Disney World. I sure did! I had peace every time I prayed it too- I knew it would happen! My surgery was only 7 weeks before we left on our family trip, guys. Do you think I could have given up? Sure, but I didn’t. Do you think I could have gotten upset God used surgery to fix my tummy rather than me rubbing it clockwise 7 times and it growing back together? Sure, but I didn’t. Why? Because I know my God is faithful and when He tells me something- when He gives me the vision for something, “come hell or high-water” I know it will be done!

So as you guys know, God started speaking vision to me for this next season in life back in October. I was excited because I had already been experiencing the faithfulness of God. But by the end of October, I began seeing “lying symptoms” of old issues that were LONG TAKEN CARE OF! I wasn’t walking completely in the way He was leading- meaning, I wasn’t in the word as much I should have been, I was operating on autopilot half of the time because of the business of those 2 months, plus I kept saying “yes” to good things that He told me to say “no” to and I allowed myself to fall under this oppression like I mentioned in my previous blogs. So, I began speaking the word more and taking my authority again and walking in more obedience, but I still was struggling to be totally set free. As I told you at the beginning of this blog, last week I was miraculously healed from MOST of the physical symptoms INSTANTLY! YES, INSTANTLY! But just like God instructed in Ezekiel 37, to speak a prophetic word to the dead bodies to form back together and come alive with the breath of God, God had to tell Ezekiel to SPEAK AGAIN because the fullness of all that God promised hadn’t yet been fulfilled. The breath of God still had to enter these newly formed bodies! Too often we settle before we reach the fullness of what God promised. I knew God was reminding me not to settle when He spoke this exact scripture He had been speaking to me about for a year now THIS PAST Sunday through our Pastor! And then guess what was prophesied that night by guest Pastor Joseph Morris… At the end of service in prayer, He shared specific words of knowledge for 3-4 people in our congregation. He said, “This sounds weird, but I will call it out anyway.. Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Your digestive tract got damaged. Amen. You are healed!” and even though that is incredibly embarrassing I claim it! I would rather have people make fun of my past and be healed and use my testimony to heal others than to stay private and live in the curse of it day in and day out all over again. You might think think what exactly is a word of knowledge, Sara, you are a weirdo. Words of knowledge are prophetic words given to someone anointed in the Holy Spirit regarding someone waiting on a word/promise from God. Who doesn’t need a word of knowledge in their life?!?

This song is so perfect! “God, you have spoken, and I know it is so”

“It is time!” was spoken over the last week, and I know it is time to walk in the fullness that God has prepared. That goes for you as well! Because everywhere the word of God is spoken, power is made available. In one person’s testimony, there is another person’s victory! Receive it!

The following images show a glimpse of how “bad” it seemed, how the enemy put up strong attacks to get me to believe that God isn’t faithful. But God is and always will be faithful. Every word that He has spoken will come to pass. What the enemy sends for destruction, God turns it into good. Let God be your Redeemer, He has already sent forth His miracle working word. Take heart, watch and see that your miracles are in the making.

Top left picture is right before 1st post op shower with soap. Progression of allergic reaction taken every other day. Painful to say the least.
Once I stopped the soap, everything started to clear up and the swelling started to go down

DIY Liquid Laundry Soap

¼ cup Arm & Hammer Super washing soda

¼ cup Baking soda

¼ cup Young Living Thieves Laundry soap

1 cap full Young Living Thieves household cleaner (optional)

5 quarts of water

Heat water in large stock pot. Add super washing soda and baking soda to the hot water. Stir until fully dissolved. Let Cool for 15-20 minutes. Transfer to your Laundry soap dispenser. Add Thieves Laundry soap, Thieves household cleaner, and 30 drops total of your chosen Essential Oil combo.

What is life changing about this DIY recipe is that it is cost effective, there are no harsh chemicals, and no perfumes! Did you know that there are upwards of 3,000 chemicals hidden under the word “Perfume” or “fragrance” and there are upwards of 50,000 chemicals hidden in everyday household products.

These are trace amounts so they are considered insignificant, but since there are “trace amounts” in ALL of our household products, what does that add up to be as whole? WAY OVER the amount that is considered “safe”.

Thieves Laundry Soap 32oz is $32. $1 per 1oz.  You are only using 2oz per 1 DIY Laundry soap making day (which makes a little over 1 gallon of laundry soap at a time). For our family, we go through 1 batch in about 5 weeks. You get 16 gallons total out of 1 purchase of laundry soap.  So let’s just say if there are 16 batches out of each 1 bottle, and you make 1 batch a month. There are only 12 months in 1 year, so you only buy 1 of these bottles every year with some leftover

I was spending $12 about every 4 weeks for the laundry detergent I was using before that was labeled free and gentle. As you can see, I won’t even be close to that with this easy, toxin free, aroma-therapeutic recipe!

The fun thing is the combinations are endless! Fun for your kids to help create your own amazing smelling laundry detergent that is safe for them!

We made this combo for this month:

10 drops Bergamot, 10 drops Lemon, 10 drops Orange

The great thing is, if you don’t feel like being an expert perfumer to come up with combinations that smell good, there are tons of ideas on Pinterest to get you going.

I hope this helps and blesses your family like it has mine!

Freedom is found in Him

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. – Proverbs 4:9

Where to even begin. What a testimony I have! Last night was church, I LOVE MY CHURCH, God knew I needed to be there. If you don’t have this same love for your church (the body God has called you to) please find out why? The church is NOT a social club, yuck! The church should be a body collectively made up of a diverse group of people who deal with problems and love Jesus! Church doesn’t make you “holy-er” or “more righteous”. Church is NOT, nor will it ever be a true “status symbol” where you can be proud of yourself simply because you sit in a church pew every week.

Church is a vital source of “water” for EVERY BELIEVER! God brings Heaven on earth through people. God knows you need others to live abundantly and victoriously. Jesus came on the earth to build His church. As he walked on earth, He was constantly building “church” and what church should be. There was already church on the scene, but that wasn’t God’s conception of “church” anymore. God’s church was no longer just based on rules, God’s church was living with Jesus. Living in a close relationship with Jesus, will guarantee us desiring to follow the rules God gave us in the old covenant to keep us free from the enemy’s hold on our lives. God gives us His undeserved mercy and grace EVERYDAY through Jesus when we come to Him.

Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me [so we (Jesus and The Holy Spirit) are not welcome in their homes yet]…When the Father sends the Advocate as my representative- that is the Holy Spirit- He will teach you everything and He will remind you of everything I have told you. I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give you is a gift the world cannot give.” -John 14:23-27

A church that is founded and exemplified on God’s word accompanied by His Holy Spirit is the picture of what church should be like. Church can’t have neither- that’s just a club with a title… A church can’t have only God’s word (because how many of us know some scriptures can contradict each other when taken out of context or sometimes they just don’t make sense). We need God given wisdom and clarity! God instructs us over and over again in proverbs to ask for His wisdom. He knows every solution, because He created the world and He can see the enemy’s plots against you before they manifest. Without the Holy Spirit accompanying God’s word-the word isn’t going to be productive. Did God create the world only through His word? The answer is No.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters [waiting for God’s word]. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. -Genesis 1:1-3

A church can’t have only the Spirit of God without the word of God either.

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (Jesus) existed in the beginning with God. God created everything THROUGH Him (the word of God= Jesus), and nothing was created except through Him (the word of God= Jesus). The word (Jesus) gave life to everything that was created and His life brought light to everyone…. So the Word became HUMAN and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. – John 14:1-4, 14

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me…” – John 14:6

Wisdom without understanding is not fruitful. God’s word without Jesus and the Holy Spirit causes us to blindly walk “forward”. We can actually get turned around and lost in God’s word if we don’t allow His Holy Spirit to guide us and bring us understanding. We know that when Jesus took our place on the cross and defeated the enemy. He not only got us the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven back, but He tore the veil dividing us from God. People, even we as christians, can find ourselves walking around with a veil back over our eyes at times.

But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant (no anointing from the Holy Spirit) is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth… but whenever someone turns to the Lord Jesus Christ, the veil is taken away. For THE LORD IS THE SPIRIT, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord who is the Holy Spirit makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image. – 2 Corinthians 3:14-18

He [God] has showered His kindness on us along with ALL wisdom AND understanding. -Ephesians 1:8

Do you know that the enemy knows the word of God. Take a moment and let that sink in. We know the enemy was a treasured angel of God’s. Too often christians living without the anointing of the Holy Spirit can think we are safe because we simply know the word of God. While that is true:

The word of God is living and active [powerful, fruitful], and sharper than any two-edged sword. For it pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, joint and marrow… -Hebrews 4:12

We see throughout the Bible that the enemy is quick with scripture that he has twisted ever so slightly to “seduce” people to follow him. We still see this happen today. We can know God’s word in the battles we face, but we also have to receive that gift of anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are not created or instructed to receive Jesus without the Holy Spirit. If we didn’t need the Holy Spirit, then Jesus would not have described the gift of the Holy Spirit or the importance of the Holy Spirit.

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. -John 14:16-17

(Jesus said) “I have told you these things so that you will not abandon your faith… I will send [the Holy Spirit] to you… When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own, but He will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever He receives from me.”  -John 16:1-14

God tells us throughout out His word that we are His masterpiece, that we are created to flourish and be fruitful. We see where God has demonstrated the importance of the anointing of His Holy Spirit. Throughout the Old Testament, what had to happen for someone to receive the anointing by God? Oil was poured onto their heads to signify they are chosen by God and that the Holy Spirit of God is upon them. Alot of you probably know the oil of God is a symbol for His Holy Spirit.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. – Psalm 24:5-6

So last night at church as soon as our Pastors began speaking I knew, I felt a drawing from inside of me about how the message would help me even more in conquering that kind of fearful, self doubt oppression that I have mentioned in the other two posts. It came on not long after God gave me the vision for this year in October. It was weird, hard to describe, and it just kept continuing to grow. I kept speaking the word of God over the issues and I knew the truth. I knew these were whispers and lies of the enemy, but they just kept growing and taking a toll on me like poison. What happens with poison, there becomes internal and external symptoms, right. I was having them. My body began to physically hurt in several different ways- similar to past afflictions that God has delivered me from regarding my digestive tract functioning. Even my skin has been out of control like never before? Just crazy… I knew it was all related to this issue, but it’s like I just kept struggling to get totally free and with all kinds of symptoms accumulating, it weighed me down even more. So all day yesterday, I felt terrible. I kept going with a smile on my face because I refuse to just lay down and settle. As church time approached, I actually had the out of nowhere idea to just stay home. WHAT? I never want to do that, I am always eager to get there!! But these symptoms were LOUD and CLEAR and I thought I won’t be able to focus on the message. I thought I should just stay home and rest, but I didn’t want to keep our two girls home because even the night before in their prayers they specifically prayed “Thank you God that tomorrow is church and we get to go! (the best!!). I didn’t want to keep my husband home with me either because his work lately has not allowed him to be able to go with us. So I just kept walking- literally! I walked to the car without sharing my hesitation inside because they didnt know how bad I felt. Literally, as we are driving down our road, I thought man, I should just have him turn around and leave me at home, but I didn’t say it! I’m telling you, the enemy was working overtime to keep me home last night! Praise God, I knew deep enough in my spirit that the best place to be is in His presence.

So as the message was about how the enemy uses the spirit of Jezebel (seduction which doesn’t have to be sexual- but any thought that lures you from what God has said, with discouragement and oppression and depression) in the last days on a greater level as told by Jesus to John in the book of Revelation. Jesus explained how the spirit of Jezebel wants to infect “reproduce” through people generation to generation, but Jesus also said that the spirit of Elijah (powerful and anointed) will come upon His church to resist and wipe out the enemy.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. -Ephesians 6:12

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments (lying and deception). We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

I’m telling ya, I knew right then and there that tonight I was going to be able to break free from this spiritual attack. Our Pastor even gave his testimony of how he too had been battling a similar oppression- hard to define, just yuck and trying to steal his joy. He knew the Lord told him these simple words “It’s spiritual”. He knew He needed to stir back up the anointing that God had placed on him to take his God given authority and to command this oppressive spirit to go. Our Pastor explained how God gave him the vision to end the service tonight with the physical anointing of oil and prayer for anyone who needs to be set free. I had tears running down my face, I knew it! I was free! God not only met me here with the answer, but He already had my freedom waiting for me! From that point forward, my body physically felt COMPLETELY BETTER! YES!! Redeemed like I knew He promised! I took back my authority and my anointing with His instructions! God is great isn’t HE!

God knows you and He knows your needs before you do. The enemy knows when great things are coming from God and he will do as much as possible to get you off course, BUT GOD! Every name has to bow to the name of Jesus! So remember who you are in Christ, remember whose you are- God’s treasure who He has given the authority, victory, and blessing–the very GLORY of God! Fill up on His word and take upon the anointing every single day– with intentions, and not in auto pilot. Trust by faith that He is bringing you freedom. Remember, He doesn’t give you the vision without making the PROvision for you to walk in it!

Love you all!

Crowned with Everlasting Joy

A garland of grace and a crown of beauty. – Proverbs 4:9

Wow! I am truly grateful for each of you taking the time to support me by reading my first blog a couple of days ago. Some of you have even encouraged me and some of you have even signed up for email alerts every time I submit a new post. That is truly incredible and encouraging, Thank you from the bottom of my heart! After re-reading my post, I have to apologize for the grammatical mistakes I found. Good gravy! So thank you for supporting me in full knowledge that I have no editor. I sure am thankful that even when there are mistakes, God can still move through me!

This past week, I was blessed to serve in our youth ministry where our take-away bible verse was Acts 4:13.

The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary people with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as those who had been with Jesus.

I love how God doesn’t choose to move through you based on your “qualifications”, your “status”, or “the measure of your talents”. I love how God reminds me that when He designed me, He knew full well what needed to be inside of me to carry out the plans He has for me. To be able to carry out His plans, I need Him. It’s that simple. I need Him showing me what gifts and treasures are already in me like seeds waiting to blossom. The world may tell me I’m not good at that, you won’t do well in that, you don’t even know what you are doing, who do you really think you are… Even when I feel unqualified, unknowing, uncomfortable, and fearful, He is right there to say “just say Yes, Sara. I am with you, my plans for you with the vision and the direction I have given you will not fail. Don’t strive to be perfect, just come be with me and trust me even when it doesn’t make sense.”

One thing that God keeps showing me and drawing me to is speaking more. I’m more comfortable with writing. For the last year or more, I have found myself saying “I want to speak with divine utterance, God’s assistance to speak clearly and be used for Him”. Talking to more than a small group of people is intimidating to say the least, especially if it is not in a private setting. Hand me a microphone (in our ministries) and I feel my whole body burst on fire. I love to talk, don’t get me wrong. Anyone who knows me, knows this! haha

I actually used to be incredibly shy as a child. As I got older, I pushed myself (truly by His grace) to get out of my comfort zone and share what all I have to say inside. I know I am “different” than others and can be “awkward” in speech. The enemy has voiced that through many people my whole life. Shocker! Guys, the enemy can see parts of the call on your life. He isn’t all knowing like God, but the enemy can see the gifts inside of you at a young age and he is always attempting to shut those gifts down before you can fully discover them. The enemy is not good, but he is good at doing everything he can to take you out of God’s plans for your life. God says all through out His word how incredibly important His wisdom is for us. In fact, wisdom is actually from the subtitle He lead me to use for this blog. Proverbs 4:9

Wisdom is like a garland of grace and a crown of beauty

God has given us this wisdom through His Holy Spirit to succeed triumphantly and beautifully in the call on our life. God warns us throughout his word to guard our heart and to seek His wisdom, to find out what God has said about us and the situations in our life. He has done everything, that means there is nothing left on His part to do, to bring us to Him through Jesus Christ. He says to come boldly, seek Him and we will find Him, to ask for wisdom and we will receive it. God says in Hosea 4:6,

My people are being destroyed from a lack of knowledge

Assignments or gifts that aren’t developed yet is intimidating. Right!? God is so good to give me scriptures to help me take those steps toward His plans. The growing and the flourishing belongs to Him, not me- all I have to do is just say “yes” and take those steps when He tells me to. Don’t you love when He has given you scriptures for His promises to you and then your Pastor shares the same scripture unknowing of the specific way God is speaking to you. God has spoken to me through Jeremiah for the last several months.

I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my _____ to the nations. (Jeremiah gave God hesitancies why he couldn’t do the things God has called him to do.) The Lord replied, “Don’t say I’m too young, for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and I will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put my words in your mouth. Today I appoint you to stand up and [do what I have called you to do].”

So because I know that God is wanting to grow me more in other areas, I can trust that He will give me the grace to do it well. Success is not measured in the same way on earth as it is in Heaven. To me, the world often times measures success based on perfection, credentials, and stats. Whereas, God measures success as being faithful to Him and what He has lead me to do. Recently, one of our Pastors gave an on-time, God given sermon about faithfulness. I filled up 10 pages in my journal, to say God knew I needed to hear this is an understatement! You see, I mentioned in my last post about how the enemy has been after my joy for the last couple months, it was centered around me looking at myself and judging myself if I had done a good job with what He had entrusted to me over the last couple of years. I mentioned how both words and silence (lack of words) from friends have been his tool against me. I was allowing myself to entertain and focus on the enemy’s whispers of what people thought of me and the roles I have led. God used His own words through my husband to encourage me to stay the coarse. To think on what really matters: which is being obedient to God and giving Him my whole heart and time. Again, totally affirmed through our Pastor’s message this week, the heroes of faith in the Bible were marked as such not because of their perfection, but instead for their refusal to give up- they all kept going. God has been good to recall to me specific examples of choosing to be faithful. He even led a couple of friends to encourage me and that all together has given me the courage to boldly take the next steps in this next exciting season.

Do you see how I bolded “..and don’t be afraid of the people…” in the above scripture that He has given me to pray over myself. It’s like I skipped over that part, that part didn’t take root like the other parts for some reason. Lately, I have allowed myself to hold myself back through self doubt. In all honesty, I found myself drawing back in fear. I’m not usually a fearful person, but it’s like I was allowing myself to stay frozen, unknowing exactly what all the next step entailed and just uncertainty if I would do it as well as others expected. Honestly, that and doing too many things that God wasn’t saying to do has taken a toll on my body (saying yes to doing good things, but these things weren’t what God was saying to do in that season). I was physically exhausted, mentally exhausted, and I was spiritually drained= not a good combination and it allowed for the enemy to use my health against me as he has in the past. As I will share more about in future posts.

Self doubt means I was taking my eyes partially off of God. That was the other frustrating part for me, I knew I should just brush these attacks off, and leave them far behind me, but I I would find myself haunted by them again and again. You see, self-confidence and self-esteem are empowering concepts for sure, but without knowing who is IN YOU- who you really are they actually become the opposite and become a stumbling block instead.

Self esteem can be defined as one’s belief of his/her individual worth and worthiness.

Self confidence can be defined as one’s expectation and trust in his/her own individual abilities, qualities, and judgements.

So self esteem and self confidence is no greater than yourself as pointed out by Pastor Bill Johnson. God confidence [God in you] which is called faith, is as big as God. So which is greater!?

I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me the needed strength, the ability to do His appointed work. He considers me faithful and trustworthy to serve Him and steward the ministry work He has given me. -1 Timothy 1:12

God not only has confidence in us to victoriously carry out the plans He has for us, but He calls us worthy! He knows who He created us to be and what we carry on the inside of us! He gives us the grace for victory!

GREATER is He that is in you, GREATER than anyone in this world!
